The closed-end structure covers the termination, while the open end recovers around the cable.<\/p>\n<p>The dual-wall construction combines a radiation-modified polyolefin outer layer with hot-melt adhesive lining. During heating, the outer layer shrinks and the adhesive softens and flows around the cable surface.
