SM Series Busbar Support Insulators
SM series busbar support insulators provide insulated mechanical support for busbars using a moulded insulating body and metal threaded inserts.
- Twelve models, including distinct SM-25S and SM-25 configurations.
- Heights from 20 to 100 mm.
- Glass-fibre-reinforced unsaturated polyester BMC or SMC.
- Nominal thread diameters of 5, 6, 8 or 10 mm, depending on model.

Descripción general
YOCL ELECTRIC SM series busbar support insulators provide insulated mechanical support for busbars. The insulating body is described as glass-fibre-reinforced unsaturated polyester moulding compound, with BMC or SMC material configurations and metal threaded inserts.
The series covers 12 models from SM-20 to SM-100, with heights of 20–100 mm. SM-25S and SM-25 share a 25 mm height but have different body dimensions, thread depths and mechanical strength values. Use the model tables to select the required configuration.

The diameter and plan-span columns follow the two separate dimensions marked in each plan view. They are not interchangeable. All dimensions are transcribed from the supplied drawing labels; no tolerances or thread pitches are specified.

Select the model by its support height, available mounting space, nominal thread diameter and thread depth, together with the listed electrical and mechanical data. Material, insert and thread specifications should be stated with the requested model.
SM-25S and SM-25 are separate configurations:
- SM-25S: 25 mm high, φ15 mm marked diameter, 19 mm plan span, 8 mm thread depth and 400 lbf tensile strength.
- SM-25: 25 mm high, φ23 mm marked diameter, 30 mm plan span, 9 mm thread depth and 500 lbf tensile strength.
Ordering Information
For a quotation, provide the SM model, required quantity, insulating material, insert material, thread specification and colour. Custom configurations for colour, inserts, material properties and threads can be requested.
