How do I choose a waterproof connector?
Start with the connection layout and number of cores. Then match conductor cross-section, cable jacket diameter and the exact model's electrical and environmental specifications.
Are quick-insert and screw-terminal versions interchangeable?
Not automatically. Terminal construction, conductor range and ratings can differ even when model names or housings look similar. Check the complete order code and wiring requirements.
Does IP68 mean every model can stay underwater indefinitely?
No. Confirm the test depth, duration and assembly conditions for the selected connector. A catalogue IP rating alone does not define suitability for continuous immersion.
Is a waterproof connector the same as a cable gland?
A connector joins electrical conductors. A cable gland seals and secures a cable entry but does not by itself make the electrical connection.
