Its flame-retardant polyolefin outer layer covers the cable or component while the internal hot-melt adhesive helps seal the underlying surface.<\/p>\n<p>During heating, the outer layer shrinks and the adhesive softens and flows into gaps around the component. After cooling, it helps form a protective interface against water, moisture and corrosion.<\/p>\n<p>The series offers 3:1 and 4:1 shrink ratios: 12 sizes from 3.2 mm to 50.0 mm for the 3:1 version, and nine sizes from 4.0 mm to 52.0 mm for the 4:1 version.
