YOCL ELECTRIC HS4X adhesive-lined heat shrink tubing provides 4:1 recovery for large connectors, cable joints and significant diameter transitions. Flexible polyolefin and hot-melt adhesive combine electrical insulation, environmental sealing and mechanical protection.

YOCL ELECTRIC HS4X adhesive-lined heat shrink tubing provides a 4:1 shrink ratio for connections with substantial differences between the installation diameter and the final cable diameter. It passes over larger terminals, connectors and cable joints before recovering around the smaller component underneath.

The dual-wall construction uses a flexible polyolefin outer layer for electrical insulation and mechanical protection, together with a hot-melt adhesive inner layer for environmental sealing. During heating, the outer layer contracts while the adhesive softens and flows around the underlying surface. After cooling, the adhesive helps protect the connection against water, moisture and corrosion.

The series covers nine sizes with supplied internal diameters from 4 mm to 52 mm and maximum recovered internal diameters from 1 mm to 13 mm.

Select a supplied I.D. large enough to pass over the largest connector, terminal or component, then check that the recovered I.D. suits the smaller cable or surface requiring sealing. The 4:1 ratio is useful where the installation diameter is substantially greater than the final diameter.

For example, the 32.0/8.0 mm size has supplied I.D. ≥32.0 mm and maximum recovered I.D. ≤8.0 mm, with total wall thickness 3.00 ± 0.50 mm and adhesive-layer thickness 0.90 ± 0.30 mm. Check both thicknesses and axial change against the space and coverage required.
