YOCL ELECTRIC HSMS-GF flame-retardant heat shrink tubing provides electrical insulation, environmental sealing and mechanical protection for wire harnesses, marine cables, electrical connections and metal components. Its dual-wall construction combines a flame-retardant polyolefin outer layer with hot-melt adhesive lining.
During heating, the outer layer shrinks while the adhesive softens and flows around the underlying cable, joint or component. After cooling, the adhesive helps form a sealed interface against water, moisture and corrosion.
The series offers 3:1 and 4:1 shrink ratios, with 12 sizes in the 3:1 range and nine sizes in the 4:1 range. The product specification references AMS-DTL-23053/4, and the operating range is -45°C to +135°C.

The tables retain the supplied and recovered internal-diameter limits, thickness tolerances and standard packaging for each version. Select from the individual values rather than calculating recovery limits from the shrink ratio alone.

Choose a supplied I.D. that passes over the largest terminal, connector or component, then check the maximum recovered I.D. against the smaller cable or surface requiring sealing. Use the 3:1 range for general cable and component sealing; use the 4:1 range where larger diameter transitions are required.
Check the total wall and adhesive-layer thicknesses against the available space and the required sealed interface. For example, the 4:1 16.0 mm size has supplied I.D. ≥16.0 mm, maximum recovered I.D. ≤4.0 mm, total wall thickness 2.00 ± 0.35 mm and adhesive-layer thickness 0.70 ± 0.30 mm.
