It passes over larger terminals, connectors and cable joints before recovering around the smaller component underneath.<\/p>\n<p>The dual-wall construction uses a flexible polyolefin outer layer for electrical insulation and mechanical protection, together with a hot-melt adhesive inner layer for environmental sealing. During heating, the outer layer contracts while the adhesive softens and flows around the underlying surface.
