YOCL Elektro HSWH-F4X 4:1 Flammhemmende Doppeltwandige Schrumpfschläuche mit hoher Flammwidrigkeit provides insulation and adhesive sealing for automotive wire harnesses, splices and electrical connections. It combines a flame-retardant polyolefin outer wall with an internal hot-melt adhesive layer.
During heating, the outer wall shrinks and the adhesive softens and flows around the cable or component. After cooling, the adhesive helps form a sealed interface against water and moisture. The nominal 4:1 shrink ratio accommodates connector-to-cable diameter transitions. Six standard sizes are supplied in 1.22 m lengths.

I.D. means internal diameter. Diameters and thicknesses are in millimetres; standard lengths are in metres. The ≥ values specify minimum supplied internal diameters, and the ≤ values specify maximum internal diameters after recovery.

Select a supplied diameter that can pass over the largest connector, terminal or component. Then check the specified maximum recovered I.D., total wall thickness and adhesive layer thickness for the cable or joint being covered.
Use the dimensions for the selected size when assessing fit. For example, the 8.0 mm size has a supplied I.D. of at least 8.0 mm and a maximum recovered I.D. of 1.65 mm. Its total wall thickness is 2.00 ± 0.30 mm and adhesive layer thickness is 0.95 ± 0.20 mm.
Check the initial and full shrink temperatures for installation and the operating range for service. The standard construction has a black outer wall and white adhesive.

Installation Notes
- Select an HSWH-F4X size that can pass over the connector, terminal or component.
- Cut the tubing to the required length, slide it over the harness and position it over the area to be protected.
- Apply controlled heat evenly around the tubing.
- Continue heating until the outer wall has recovered and the adhesive has flowed around the underlying surface.
- Remove the heat source and allow the tubing and adhesive to cool completely.
- Check for uniform recovery and sealing.
