Cable Glands
Manufacturer

Nylon, metal, EMC and armoured cable glands for equipment and enclosure installations. Compare the cable range and entry thread, then send your model schedule for a quotation.

THE PRODUCT RANGE

Cable gland families

Start with the cable construction and installation. Explore the family, then confirm the exact model.

CABLE OUTSIDE DIAMETER ≠ ENTRY THREAD

Find a dimensional starting point.

Compare live catalogue rows from the one-piece nylon Metric and VO Metric brass series. Other families require their own model review.

Selected catalogue models are shown below. Open a product page for the full series.

A dimensional match does not establish sealing, temperature, EMC, armour or Ex suitability. Confirm cable construction, tolerances, seal and mounting conditions. Missing catalogue rows are not an indication of stock availability.

Prepare an enquiry

Match both sides
of the connection.

A cable gland connects a cable to an equipment entry. Those are two different interfaces, with separate dimensions to check.

Cable side

Measure the outside diameter. For screened or armoured cables, include the construction and termination dimensions. For multi-hole seals, specify every cable opening.

Equipment side

Identify the full entry thread and pitch, or clearance-hole dimensions. Check thread length, panel thickness, locknut engagement and spanner clearance.

Material

Choose the body, finish and seal for the environment. Nylon and metal are material groups; EMC and armoured describe additional functions.

Thread

Do not select by nominal diameter alone. Match the exact thread form, size and pitch to the equipment documentation.

Sealing

Check the model’s cable range and assembly instructions. IP performance depends on the complete sealing arrangement.

Special requirements

For EMC, armour, marine or hazardous-area work, review the model-specific construction and required evidence before ordering.

QUALITY & DOCUMENTATION

Specify the evidence.
Not just the rating.

Build the inspection and document requirements into your purchase specification. Confirm what is available for the selected model and configuration.

Discuss your specification

Dimensions & threads

Agree the model drawing, cable range, thread designation and inspection requirements. Include critical dimensions and tolerances.

Body, finish & seals

Identify the body material, surface finish and seal compound. Confirm compatibility with the installation environment.

Sealing & assembly

Request the applicable test information and assembly conditions. Do not extend one series rating to the entire range.

Certification & traceability

Request documents that identify the exact model and scope. For Ex products, include the project classification and certificate requirements for specialist review.

OEM & CUSTOM PACKAGING

Your products.
Your brand.

Build a cable gland range around your product schedule, labels and packaging. Send your artwork and requirements for review.

Logo printing

Discuss branding positions and printing options for your selected cable glands and packaging.

Product labels

Align model references, thread sizes, barcodes and label information with your range.

Custom packaging

Coordinate box artwork, packing quantities and presentation for your cable gland order.

Product requirements

Submit drawings or samples for a review of dimensions, materials, seals and design feasibility.

BEFORE YOU ORDER

Cable gland
buying questions.

Confirm the model, documentation and commercial terms before placing the order.

How do I select a cable gland size?

Measure the cable outside diameter, then compare the clamping range of the exact model. Separately confirm the enclosure entry thread, pitch, thread length, wall thickness and installation clearance.

Does M20 mean the gland fits a 20 mm cable?

No. M20 identifies the entry thread designation, not the cable diameter. Different M20 models can have different cable clamping ranges and thread lengths. Use the model table.

Can Metric, PG, NPT and G threads be substituted?

Do not assume interchangeability. Match the complete thread designation and sealing arrangement to the equipment entry. Any adaptor must also be suitable for the installation.

Does an IP rating apply to every installation?

No. Check the selected model documentation, seal, cable range and assembly conditions. A catalogue rating does not approve a different cable shape, substitute seal or incorrectly assembled gland.

Can an ordinary metal gland be used for EMC or armoured cable?

Do not select on body material alone. Review the screen-contact or armour-termination arrangement, cable dimensions and bonding requirements for the exact series.

What documents are needed for Ex cable glands?

Provide the hazardous-area specification and request the certificate, marking and installation instructions covering the exact model. This page and its dimensional filter do not approve an Ex installation.

What are your MOQ and lead times?

Send quantities by model and size, packaging requirements and destination. Minimum quantities, sample terms, production timing and shipping arrangements are confirmed with the quotation.

Can I request my own logo and packaging?

Yes, you can submit a branding and packaging brief for review. Include artwork, model labels, barcodes and quantities per pack. Feasibility and minimum quantities depend on the product and customization scope.
