Overview
YOCL ELECTRIC HSWH-B4X semi-rigid automotive heat shrink tubing protects wire-harness joints, electrical connectors and cable branches where mechanical protection and environmental sealing are both required. Its semi-rigid polyolefin outer layer provides wear resistance and insulation, while the internal hot-melt adhesive helps seal the underlying cable or component.
The nominal 4:1 shrink ratio allows the tubing to pass over larger connectors, terminals and irregular components before recovering around a smaller cable or bundle. During heating, the adhesive softens and flows around the surface; after cooling, it helps form a protective interface against water, moisture and corrosion.
The series offers six standard sizes with supplied internal diameters from 4 mm to 18 mm, all in 1.22 m standard lengths.

Recovered Wall and Adhesive Thickness
Nominal recovered total wall thickness increases from 1.40 mm for the 4 mm size to 2.60 mm for the 18 mm size. Nominal adhesive-layer thickness increases from 0.60 mm to 1.34 mm across the same range. The table lists the size-specific tolerances.
The recovered wall, semi-rigid outer layer and adhesive lining combine mechanical protection with environmental sealing. During heating, the adhesive flows into gaps around the cable, wire bundle or component.
Selection Guide
Select HSWH-B4X where a semi-rigid, wear-resistant outer layer is required around automotive harness joints, branches or connectors. Choose from the 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 18 mm supplied sizes. Check that the supplied I.D. passes over the largest component and that the maximum recovered I.D. suits the smaller cable or bundle requiring sealing.
For example, the 10.0 mm size has supplied I.D. ≥10.0 mm, maximum recovered I.D. ≤2.00 mm, recovered total wall thickness 2.30 ± 0.40 mm and adhesive-layer thickness 1.10 ± 0.20 mm. Check wall thickness and axial change against the available space and required coverage.
