MS Series Waterproof Breather & Explosion Relief Valves

YOCL Electric waterproof breather and explosion relief valves combine membrane pressure equalization with pressure-actuated gas release. The series includes eight threaded metal models and a separate battery pack PRV configuration.

Threaded valves: IP67, with a 4–15 kPa opening-pressure range.
304 stainless steel or 6061 aluminium bodies by model.
Threaded-model air permeability: ≥800–3000 mL/min at 70 mbar, depending on model.
F550 PRV: PP+GF30 body, 304 stainless steel cover and e-PTFE membrane.

Aperçu

YOCL Electric waterproof breather and explosion relief valves combine routine enclosure pressure equalization with pressure relief during internal pressure buildup. The MS series includes eight threaded metal valves and the MS-FBFSL-F550 battery pack PRV vent.

The threaded valves use an e-PTFE membrane for normal breathing. At the relief threshold, internal pressure opens a built-in piston to release gas through a direct passage. The valve returns to its normal breathing state after pressure falls below the threshold.

The F550 PRV is designed for battery boxes, with a PP+GF30 body, a 304 stainless steel cover and a silicone sealing ring. Its specifications are listed separately below.

Normal membrane breathing helps equalize pressure inside and outside the enclosure.
Threaded models provide a pressure-actuated relief passage and return to normal operation after pressure falls.
Eight threaded models offer 304 stainless steel or 6061 aluminium bodies.
IP67 protection is specified for the threaded valves and the F550 PRV.
The battery pack PRV combines pressure balancing with gas release following abnormal battery-cell venting.

The 4–15 kPa value is the stated opening-pressure range. Specify the required opening pressure when selecting a model. The air-permeability figures describe membrane breathing at the given test pressure.

Operating Principle

During normal operation, the threaded valve allows gas to move through its membrane from the higher-pressure side to the lower-pressure side. This supports outward breathing under positive enclosure pressure and inward breathing under negative enclosure pressure.

When internal pressure reaches the relief threshold, the piston opens a direct gas passage. After pressure decreases, the threaded valve resumes membrane breathing.

The F550 PRV provides battery-box pressure balancing and a relief function for abnormal gas release from battery cells.

Select the model using its individual material, breathing value and pressure specification. Use the long-term working-temperature range when assessing continuous service for the threaded models.
