Overview
The YOCL ELECTRIC BDM-1 Ex e Unarmoured Cable Gland uses single compression construction for non-armored elastomer- and plastic-insulated cables in indoor and outdoor industrial applications. It may also be used with braided cables where the braid and outer sheath pass into the enclosure.
A claw-type clamping arrangement secures and seals the cable. The rounded entry helps reduce the risk of cable damage during insertion. The supplied marking is Ex eb IIC Gb and Ex tb IIIC Db.

L1 and L follow the source drawing: body length beyond the entry thread and entry thread length, respectively. Select the sealing option for the actual cable diameter; the two ranges for 20A and 20B are not combined into one continuous range.

Specify BDM-1 size, body material, actual thread standard and pitch, cable outer diameter and required seal configuration. For braided cables, specify that the braid and sheath pass into the enclosure; this description does not claim armor clamping or braid termination.
Include the required operating temperature and approval scope. Optional A/B compound in the accessory list does not identify this product as a compound barrier gland.
