How do UKK, K and UTJ5 differ?
UKK is a single-pole branching range. K provides 2-way or 4-way assemblies with model-specific connection-hole arrangements. UTJ5 includes direct and multi-output connections using an aluminum conductive body. Compare the exact connection arrangement, conductor capacity, rating and dimensions rather than substituting by series name.
Does every model support the maximum series current?
No. UKK has individual model ratings from 80 A to 500 A, while UTJ5 has individual ratings from 63 A to 380 A. These maxima apply only to their corresponding models. Do not infer a K model current rating from a UKK or UTJ5 rating.
Can connection-hole diameter be used as conductor capacity?
No. K connection-hole diameters are mechanical dimensions, not conductor cross-section ratings. Confirm the permitted conductor sizes for the selected model and connection position.
Are all UTJ5 models branching blocks?
No. Six listed models have one input and one output. UTJ5-35-2, UTJ5-50-2 and UTJ5-95-2 have one input and three outputs; UTJ5-50-3 has one input and five outputs.
