The YOCL ELECTRIC BDM-21 Hexagonal Flameproof Barrier Ex d Cable Gland uses a single compression armored construction with an outer clamping seal and an inner putty compound barrier. The hexagonal metal body is available in brass, nickel-plated brass, SS304 and SS316.

Accessories and Ordering
Specify BDM-21 size, body material, thread standard, diameter and pitch, inner and outer sheath diameters, armor thickness and required operating temperature configuration. Include the required Ex application and approval scope, particularly for custom threads.
The inner barrier uses compatible putty compound. Although A/B putty compound is listed as an optional accessory, the barrier sealing component is required for the barrier configuration; specify its supply if it is not already available separately.
Nylon washers and locknuts are listed as standard except for NPT versions. Earth tags, PVC shrouds, serrated washers and red fibre washers are optional. Compound formulation, curing procedure and installation torque should follow the documentation for the delivered configuration.
