Specify the insert and the housing together.

A complete connector assembly requires matching components and a defined installation layout.

Insert pair & circuit layout

Provide male and female insert references, contact count and pin assignments. State which contacts carry power, control signals and protective earth.

Electrical & conductor requirements

Specify operating current, voltage and conductor size for each circuit. Confirm model-specific ratings and termination instructions.

Hood, base & locking

Choose cable-to-panel or cable-to-cable installation. Match housing size, mounting footprint and locking hardware to the selected insert arrangement.

Cable entry & environment

Specify top or side entry, entry thread and cable outside diameter. Confirm protection for the complete mated assembly and the required seals.

Send your heavy duty connectors
requirements.

Send the HA, HE, HSB or HK insert references, required hoods and bases, cable-entry details, circuit layout and quantities. A panel drawing or existing connector photograph helps identify the required assembly.

Heavy Duty Connectors
buying questions.

Can I request a quote using a complete-set code?

Yes. Copy the exact code from the selected product page and provide quantity, cable-entry thread, cable outside diameter and operating requirements. Do not construct an order code by combining suffixes from different products.

Does every listed thread fit every complete set?

The product data lists thread options at series or pole-count level, not necessarily for each complete-set code. State your requested thread and confirm availability for the selected hood and assembly before ordering.

Does the published current rating apply in every installation?

No. Confirm the selected insert rating, conductor cross-section, ambient temperature and the number of loaded contacts for the actual installation. For HK-4/2, check main and auxiliary circuits separately.

What is included in a heavy duty connector assembly?

The required parts depend on the installation. Specify the male and female inserts, cable hood, panel or cable housing, cable entry and any locking or sealing accessories as a component schedule.

Are HA, HE, HSB and HK separate product categories?

They are series within this heavy duty rectangular connector range. Choose the series and then the complete insert and housing configuration.

Is a housing size the same as the contact count?

No. Housing size identifies the mechanical envelope. Larger assemblies can accommodate multiple inserts. Confirm the exact configuration from the assembly drawing.

Are these the same as Cam-Lock connectors?

Cam-Lock products are single-pole power connectors with a different mating system. Find them in the separate Cam-Lock Connectors family under Connectors.

Can I replace another manufacturer's connector by matching the series name?

A series name alone does not establish fit. Compare the insert interface, housing dimensions, locking arrangement and electrical requirements, and verify the proposed mating pair.

What should I include in a quotation request?

Send the HA, HE, HSB or HK insert references, required hoods and bases, cable-entry details, circuit layout and quantities. A panel drawing or existing connector photograph helps identify the required assembly. Include the exact model quantities, delivery destination and required documentation.

Can you review custom labels and packaging?

Send your part numbers, label artwork, pack quantities and shipment requirements. Feasibility, sample requirements, minimum quantities and lead time are confirmed for the requested models.
