YOUR REQUIREMENTS

Options reflect catalogue entries, not live stock. Frequency is confirmed with your quotation. Five-pole voltage wording is preserved from the catalogue.

Cannot find your configuration? Ask us to check your model or markings.

Always verify voltage, frequency, poles, rated current, earth-contact position and the complete mating interface against the product marking before installation. Cam-Lock, circular connectors, domestic interfaces and multi-outlet adapters require separate review.

Understand the socket clock position.

A visual reference for multipole connection selection—not a substitute for the selected model's markings and drawing.

Supplied catalogue reference. Click to enlarge. Verify the printed labels and the applicable configuration against the selected product documentation before use.

Start with the supply

Identify the voltage, frequency and required pole arrangement from the installation requirements.

Check the complete mating interface

Confirm the plug and socket model, rated current and earth-contact position together. A similar colour or pin count does not establish compatibility.

Read the view correctly

This illustration is labelled as a socket front view. Do not use it as a rear wiring diagram or infer terminal wiring from the illustration.

Keep single-pole systems separate

The Cam-Lock range is not selected using this multipole clock-position chart. Refer to its own product information.

Testing the connection, not just the housing.

Review mechanical operation, electrical insulation and environmental performance when qualifying an industrial connection.

Insertion & extraction force test reference photograph

Insertion & extraction force

Evaluates mating and withdrawal forces. Review the test method, conditioning and acceptance criteria for the selected connector.

High & low temperature test reference photograph

High & low temperature

Examines behaviour after specified temperature exposure. Request the applicable temperature limits and post-test checks rather than assuming a universal range.

Glow-wire behaviour test reference photograph

Glow-wire behaviour

Assesses material response to a heated test element under specified conditions. Test temperature and the applicable material or component must be identified.

Temperature rise test reference photograph

Temperature rise

Checks heating under the specified current and connection conditions. Cable size, termination and test configuration affect the result.

Water exposure test reference photograph

Water exposure

Illustrates a water-exposure test setup. Confirm the exact protection test, assembly condition and report scope for the chosen IP-rated product.

Insulation tracking test reference photograph

Insulation tracking

Illustrates assessment of surface tracking behaviour. CTI/PTI evidence relates to the tested material and conditions, not a blanket approval of every product.

Photographs illustrate test methods from supplied reference materials; they do not establish YOCL laboratory ownership or model certification. For dust exposure and other project requirements, request the applicable model-specific test scope and reports.

Match the complete connection.

Housing colour or appearance alone is not enough to specify a mating pair.

Current & supply

Specify the operating current, voltage and frequency. The 16–125 A range is not available in every family; check the selected model table and application conditions.

Poles & contact position

For multipole products, match 2P+E, 3P+E or 3P+N+E as required, together with the specified earth-contact clock position. Keep Cam-Lock selection separate.

Protection & installation

Select the stated IP44 or IP67 configuration and confirm the required mated or capped condition, cable sealing and installation instructions for that model.

Mounting & cable

Confirm straight, angled or surface mounting, panel cutout and fixing centres. Match conductor capacity and the complete cable jacket diameter to the selected cable-entry specification.

Both mating references

Provide plug and socket references, or clear photographs of existing markings. Confirm the full interface rather than ordering by colour alone.

Installation information

Include panel drawings, cable dimensions, indoor/outdoor exposure and the expected operating conditions.

Required evidence

List applicable standards, approvals and test reports required by the project. Confirm their coverage for the exact model before approval.

Supply requirements

Confirm quantities, accessories, labelling, packaging and delivery destination. Review samples where interface fit needs verification.

Industrial Plugs & Sockets
buying questions.

What is the difference between a plug, socket and cable coupler?

The listed cable plugs have male contacts. Cable couplers provide a female cable-end connection. Panel and surface sockets mount to equipment or an enclosure. Appliance inlets are a separate equipment-mounted interface.

Are all products available from 16 A to 125 A?

No. The listed IP44 multipole families cover 16 A and 32 A. Selected IP67 families also include 63 A and 125 A. Refer to the individual model table; these ranges do not describe the Cam-Lock products.

Can I match a plug and socket by colour?

No. Confirm current size, voltage, frequency, pole arrangement, clock position and the specified mating interface. Colour is only one identification aid.

Does the clock-position diagram apply to Cam-Lock?

No. The illustration concerns multipole industrial socket arrangements. The single-pole Cam-Lock range requires its own mating and rating checks.

Can a multi-outlet adapter supply the full input current at every outlet simultaneously?

Do not assume that. Confirm the assembly rating, input limit, individual outlet limits and the intended combined load before selection.

Do the testing photographs prove certification?

No. They illustrate test methods in the supplied reference material. Certification and test-report applicability must be checked for the exact product, rating and configuration.

What should I include in a quotation request?

Send the product family, model, quantity, current, voltage, frequency, pole arrangement, clock position, protection requirement and mounting or cable details. Include the exact model quantities, delivery destination and required documentation.

Can you review custom labels and packaging?

Send your part numbers, label artwork, pack quantities and shipment requirements. Feasibility, sample requirements, minimum quantities and lead time are confirmed for the requested models.
