Overview

YOCL ELECTRIC HS3X adhesive-lined heat shrink tubing provides electrical insulation, environmental sealing and mechanical protection for wires, cables, terminals and connectors. Its dual-wall construction combines a flexible polyolefin outer layer with an internal hot-melt adhesive lining.

During heating, the outer layer shrinks and the adhesive softens and flows around the underlying component. After cooling, the adhesive helps form a sealed interface that protects against water, moisture and corrosion. The 3:1 shrink ratio accommodates diameter transitions between larger connectors or joints and the smaller cable beneath them.

The HS3X series offers 13 sizes from 2.4 mm to 50.0 mm, with size-specific wall thicknesses, adhesive thicknesses and standard packing lengths.

Selection Guide

Choose a supplied internal diameter large enough to pass over the cable, terminal or connector, while checking the recovered diameter against the component that requires sealing. Use the individual size limits in the table when selecting across a diameter transition.

Check the total wall thickness, adhesive-layer thickness and axial change against the required coverage and available space. For example, the 12.7 mm size has supplied I.D. ≥12.7 mm, maximum recovered I.D. ≤4.2 mm, total wall thickness 1.65 ± 0.30 mm and adhesive-layer thickness 0.50 ± 0.20 mm.
